Can i delete folders named (Backup and Old ) in AX 20009 after updating ?

Hi

Actually after  installing AX 2009 i updated the AX by installing 

1) KB956568 (AX 2009 SP1)

2) KB960013 (GLS layersor india localization)

3) KB2503850 ( RU7)

Before installation i marked checkbox against "Keep the files as backup" for which  three folders got created in the path

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\50\Application\Appl\DynamicsAx1[instance name]\Backup" which is taking almost 10 GB and one more folder Old  which is taking 3 GB.

Can i delete these two folders Backup and Old so that i can save 13 GB space in my C drive in vpc ?
