AOT is missing in demo VM

Hi Guys i have installed a demo virtual box and AOT is missing from the ax 2012, at last found a place where it says create a work place or new work space but really nothing comes up .... followed few links in the net like

nothing came close......tried ctrl+d or ctrl+shift+w(not working)

not sure is it some thing of import the correct database(that too not seems to be this case) or license issue(As i am using a demo version of VM).

any help will be appricated.....
