Hello everyone,
I used to have the VHD as the boot OS from my thinkpad W510 with windows 7 as the native OS, it worked well when I register the VHD using the “bcdedit” commands. However, from AX 2012 R2_v3 issue this July, because the VHD’s OS is changed to Windows Server 2012, I couldn’t boot from the VHD when the thinkpad is launched. It's still the same case with AX 2012 R2_v4 released lately.
I have the option to choose the VHD as the OS to boot, but I am directly to the windows 7 problem fixing location, instead of seeing the Win2012 Server booting screen.
I am wondering if it’s the case that I have to get a thinkpad that has native OS as Windows8, so that I can boot into Windows 2012 Server VHD?
I really enjoy the VHD being run as the only OS, instead of using the virtual PC tool to boot it.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you,
