Barcodes Command functions instead of search fields

Good Afternoon, 

I would appreciate assistance. 

The end goal of a project is to use a scan gun to read 3and9 code to execute a command to Navision (CTRL+M) for example. 

When I scan the CTRL+M inside of notepad, CTRL+M shows up in notepad and jumps to the next line. 

When I do it in navision, it opens up a search box with CTRL+M inside of it. 

I greatly appreciate any help the community can provide.
